E24 G4 Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

HI

Recently bought a HP e24 G4 Monitor.  I was informed this was the companion monitor for my e24d which i bought just a couple of months ago.  Have been very happy with the e24D however when i set up the e24 i found the units were very different in terms of colour and warmth.  The e24 has an underlying yellow tint to it, the unit is also very dull in comparison to the e24d.  i need to turn the brightness down on the original monitor much more to get a similar brightness level..  Ive tried the following.

1) adjusted both the units to factory defaults.

2) adjusted the brightness on the units.

3) updated firmware and drivers for both monitors. and obtained HP ICC profiles

4) added the e24 using daisy chain ( DP ) and direct with HDMI.

5) tried windows calibration to modify the units.

6) checked night light settings to ensure they were the same ( and tried on and off )

At this point i can not get them to look similar.  No matter what i do one unit will have blue/Grey tones.  the other will be yellow/Brown..  If i get the whites to be as similar as possible i find that on one screen i have good grey colors, on the new screen it will be a tint of yellow making the grey a brown colour.

Anyone have any thoughts about how to proceed?  Im not happy with the new monitor i bought, its essentially useless to me.  They should be companion units.  Outside of having to spend more money and buy something like a spyder datacolor im not sure there is much more i can do to get them set up.  The crazy part is that out of the box at factor settings there is a massive difference in color..  ive bought hundreds of monitors in the past as part of the organisation i work for and this is one of the first where the issue is not resolveable.

thanks
