I have a relatively new HP Victus 15t-fa000 running windows 11 (garbage).
Damned thing has a danged mind of it's own! It boots to a black screen. And most of the time I have to finagle the LCD into coming on by doing numerous hard reboots, which are messing up my custom ordered HD. I can't tell you how many blue screens of death I have gotten, or how many fixes, on start-up, I've had to undergo.
Once I have the machine up and running, if I leave it for 60 seconds, the damned thing goes to sleep, regardless of the fact that I have it set for 20/25 on battery and plugged in. Today, I set it to NEVER GO TO SLEEP... and guess what???? Right. It goes to sleep in 60 seconds.
Now, sometimes, I'm lucky and if I'm not away too long, I can get it to come out of sleep mode.
Most of the time, I have to open and close the screen repeatedly to get the screen to come back on.
Often that does not work, so The rest of the time, I must do repeated hard reboots.
My son bought me this machine for Twelfth Night and I have had the machine "in actual service" since end of January 2023. (If you can call this being In Service.) HP Support has been precious little of that.
They sent me a new install of win11 on a flash drive and that did, right again: NADA.
I DO NOT KNOW if the issue is with the Victus, or with the fact that MS ALWAYS RELEASES PRODUCTS BEFORE THEY ARE READY, IN ORDER TO MAKE MONEY AND DAMNED THE CUSTOMER!!! SO MUCH DIRTY CODE IS BULKY AND MAKES THE MACHINES LAG UNECESSARILY!!
What I DO KNOW, is that I am NOT the only one facing this issue.
HP knows about it and has done zero to fix it for me, or given us a damned refund already and taken this headache back! It is nearing 9 months with this problem; I could have had a damned baby by now, and still the issue is unresolved!! Enough already!!!
If HP doesn't plan to resolve the issue, maybe a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT from everyone experiencing this issue, would be the wake-up call needed by HP to get their butts in gear and resolve the matter. Too many people are having this issue, over too many years, for HP not to have a fix already!!!!
Who has a solution to offer? Anyone?

Irwin, I have done all of these steps already, to no avail! At what point does HP acknowledge that this machine is somehow seriously flawed and provide another? It is nearing 1 year with this machine with this issue. I was able to secure a secondary Pixio px277p monitor and that comes on every time! But it is only a loan. Victus screen is STILL BLACK.. even after hours on with the Pixio... Someone at HP needs to acknowledge this Victus is a piece of garbage. It was damaged from the word go... or was damaged in transit to my home. idk. What I do know, but don't understand is why HP refuses to accept any liability and replace the machine. My son paid a small fortune for this Victus... (maybe should be called the FIXTHIS instead.) Who at HP has the authority to do more than suggest I travel down the same road, over and over again without any differing results? Did you know that that is the definition of insanity: To do things over and over again in the same way while expecting a different result? Yep. Well, I'm NOT insane, but I am extremely frustrated!! I am ready to drive over to HP headquarters and risk being arrested by launching this Victus through your windows. Maybe then someone would think... "Wow, this crazy bytch really IS upset and WANTS HELP AT ANY COST TO MAKE THIS VICTUS WORK AS IT SHOULD!!!" This should NOT be MY HEADACHE... We bought this in good faith and HP's faith back to us has been in the toilet!!!! I feel like I bought a new car that came without an engine!!! I want a phone call. Enough of chatting about this!!! My phone number is in my profile. I suggest someone at HP use it. This is beyond ridiculous and I have been beyond patient!!!!
