Pavilion 11-N010DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I've searched a bit but haven't found an answer.  My laptop is:

Model: 11-N010DX

Part Number: F9J18UA#ABA

I had the original Windows 8.1 operating system on this computer and the touch screen worked fine.  I did a clean installation of Windows 10 fall creators update (1709) including deleting all partitions and reformatting the hard drive.  I also updated the BIOS to the latest version F30.  I updated all windows software, downloaded HP Support Assistant, and updated the HP recommended updates.

The touch screen function does not work.

There is no touch screen device listed in device manager under HID devices or Mouse or Other Pointing Devices.  It appears windows does not recognize laptop as having touch screen capability.  I downloaded, installed, and ran the UEFI Diagnostics for touch screen and it works perfectly.

What do I need to do to get Windows 10 to recognize this laptop is touch screen capable in install the appropriate drivers?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

My only suggestion would be to install Intel Serial IO driver, if you've not installed it already:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-pavilion-11-n000-x360-pc-series/679681...

I assume you've already installed the following drivers before installing IO driver:
Intel chipset,

IMEI,

Intel HD graphics,

Restart system after each successful installation

Have you installed the chipset drivers and this Serial I/O driver (download and install and reboot):

Rest of drivers,

Hope it helps,

Thanks, I reinstalled Windows 10 and installed the drivers from the links provided rather than through HP Support Assistant.  Apparently, the HP Support Assistand didn't install the correct drivers because the touch screen works now.

Thanks for Visruth and Iomare!

You're welcome.

Glad everything is alright now.
