HP Recommended

Hi, I have a ZBook Studio G4 with Windows 10 Eduction and can't connect to an external monitor via HDMI. It is also dual-booted with Linux Mint 18.3.

As far as I am aware the laptop monitor uses the Intel GPU, but the HDMI is wired to the discrete Nvidia Quadro M1200 gpu. I can't get anything to find either of two external monitors I've tried though, except for bizarrely a short period when I was running colour profiling using Spyder4pro, showing that it can be done. The NVidia control settings panel also doesn't show options for multiple displays, only a menu for 3D settings.

Things that I have already tried:

Each of the the last three Nvidia drivers.

Installing drivers from HP.com, using the HP support assistant and direct from Nvidia

BIOS is updated

Changing BIOS settings to internal, discrete, hybrid and auto gpu.

Cables and monitors are definitely OK.

Cheers in advance for any help.
