HP ENVY x360 - 15m-dr1011dx

I have an HP Envy x360 that is about 3 years old and is now out of warranty. I have an Acer external monitor connected.  Starting two weeks ago, the display on the external monitor would go black then display No Signal before displaying again.  Over time it would happen more and more frequently.  Now it won't display at all.  I have tried the following without success sovling the problem:

1) Switched HDMI cables

2) connected another external monitor to the laptop and experienced the same issue

3) connected the external Acer monitor to another computer and it works fine

4) Verified video drivers are up to date

5) Ran the HP Support Assistant tests and they all passed.

 

I can't afford to buy a new laptop this year due to medical expenses.  Assistance resolving this would be GREATLY appreciated!

I see that you are facing issues with connecting an external monitor to your HP ENVY X360 - 15m-Dr1011dx.

 

This could be a hardware issue with the HDMI port on the unit and may need repair.
