Hi  I have a HP Notebook

Untill recently I have been able to connect my pc to my philips tv withou any  problems.

Now I get no signal when connecting my pc to my tv.

I have confirmed that the problem is not with the tv or the HDMI cable

I think this might be because of windows update.

The drivers are generic so I cant update the drivers

Any ideas?

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand your notebook isn't connecting to your monitor via the HDMI cable,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

Did you check with an alternate HDMI cable or another monitor to check if the issue is within the notebook?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? Have you attempted a system restore?

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned on this link: Click here

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

Hi

I still have the same problem, no signal on tv when connecting the pc to my tv

Also when i enter the display settings on the pc, the computer does not dedect another screen.

I have tested different hdmi cables and another tv, so the problem lies with the pc without a doubt.

Here are more detailed information about my pc

Thank you for replying with this overwhelming and detailed response 😉

I appreciate your time and efforts,

If you've already checked with alternate HDMI cables and other TV's and yet the issue persists,

I recommend you attempt to run an extensive hardware test on the computer to identify the issue with the PC,

Here's how you run the test: Click here

Revert back with the test results.
