Hi! @Frankazi

Do you see any errors on the screen?

Does the laptop restart while you are at the BIOS page?

How many memory modules have you installed on the PC?

It sounds like the memory slot has gone faulty on the PC.

Try installing the memory on the second slot and check if the issue persists.

If the laptop boots without any errors when you install the memory on the second slot it clearly indicates a faulty memory slot.

If you are still unable to boot try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Also, try running a system diagnostics test on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are working fine.

Refer this article to know more information about running system diagnostics on your PC.

Dear Apollo,

Please to answer your question,

the screen does not even come up to talk of displaying an error.

when you press the power button, the lid lights will on and it will be stable when Ram is not fixed. But one i fixed the Ram, the lid lights will be triping off and on once i press the power button without the screen showing any form of light.

Thanks

@Frankazi,

Thanks for the update.

Do you see any blinking light on the caps lock or num lock key?

If you see three blinking lights on the PC. It indicates it could be faulty memory or memory slot.
