For whatever reason, whenever I try to download the updated intel video driver, my operating system won't let me. I just need to download a video driver that will allow my notebook/laptop to support Adobe Premier. I'm running on the Intel core i5, 7th gen. I bought it brand new only two years ago. Please help me understand what I need to update in order to run Adobe Premiere.

Hi:

Since the product specs for your notebook indicate that it only has the onboard Intel HD 620 graphics, see my knowledge base article at the link below for how to manually update the Intel graphics driver to the latest version from Intel...

Wow, I can't believe that worked lol. Thanks for replying so quickly.

Is there a way to see if I can update every driver on my computer? Will that help it run smoothly?

You're very welcome.

The drivers on the support page seem to be pretty old.

You can use the HP support assistant and see if it has any updated drivers for your PC.

If you don't have the hp support assistant software installed, you can install it from the link below.

Click on the orange download button on the upper right side of the page.

I would not recommend updating the BIOS unless you read the release notes first, and see if the BIOS update fixes any issues you may be having.  For example, the latest one from July 7, 2020 doesn't do anything I would risk updating it for.

But look at the other previous versions and see what there may be as far as the release notes are concerned.

If there is something significant, then update to the latest version, because it contains all of the previous fixes and enhancements.

I am pretty much old school.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
