HP 14 NoteBook r002ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Device name and Model:  HP 14-r002ne Notebook.

 Issue:  I recently upgraded to Windows 10 pro (64-bit). I went to the HP support site to download the latest Nvidia Geforce 820m driver and software. This is the link to that page;

 http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-14-r000-Notebook-PC-series/6874538/model/7185495/drivers#Z7_3...

I downloaded the latest driver available;

 NVIDIA (HD) Graphics Driver (10.18.13.5384 Rev.A) (Oct 7, 2015)

 File name= (sp72727.exe). When i run the file I get the following message:

"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again."

 This is the link to the file "http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72727.exe"

 Please help me by either providing a link to a working file, or repair the one posted on the support page.

** Before posting this question I saw that another user has the same issue with the file (sp72727.exe). But he did not receive a reply, only what I believe to be an automated response asking for his Hardware information which is irrelevant to this problem.

Thank you.

Ok. I just checked the HP drivers support page for my Laptop and they just posted the latest driver for Nvidia Geforce 820m. If anyone reading this has the same issue, go download the new pack posted on Oct 13, 2015.

Thank you all for helping me resolve this issue.

The package may indeed have a problem -- I downloaded a copy of the sp; I do see "Data errors" when I try to extract it.

I have asked for someone to take a look at the file.

Try this version

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72110.exe

This one is not corrupted. It will suffice until HP provided an intact softpaq update for the video card.

HP has been notified of the issue with the one you tried.

Hi All,

I'm getting the same problem with the June 2016 update. It keeps saying the files corrupted. I've tried it on other browsers just in case. If I could torrent the download and see checksum's that would be useful in times like this. It didn't work either with the HP Download helper.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
