OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b0000 (472J1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Omen 16 Laptop 16-b0015ni (58C39EA). Soon after purchasing the laptop I read somewhere that it should be possible to use an external monitor with the Graphics Switcher / GPU mode set to NVIDIA GPU ONLY, and that it would only be possible if I had a monitor connected to the USB-C port. I finally found a compatible display cable that's doing 4K resolution @ 60 Hz just fine. The cable is connected to the USB C ports on the monitor and laptop. However I'm not able to change the Graphics Switcher / GPU Mode from Optimus to neither NVIDIA GPU Only or Automatically Select. Should it be possible to do so?

The Monitor is a Samsung  32" Smart Monitor M70B - LS32BM700UAXXA, and the cable that I'm using is a UGreen USBC3.1 Gen 2 100W PD3.0 5A 1m Braided Cable-BK.

Tnx

I found the answer elsewhere. It appears that I would only be able to do this using a MINI DP to DP cable... Sadly my monitor doesn't support DP.
