OMEN by HP - 17-an051na Support Home Products
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an issue that my second DELL P2417H display is showing at 640x480. I have downloaded all drivers, deleted video drivers and reinstalled many times but no luck.  I am using a dell docking station that works well with my dell laptop and the second display does not have any problem displaying at the right resolution. When I connnect my hp omen  the second display is stock at 640x480 and it is not possible to change it to 1920x1080. Please help. I have been researching this but no luck. I am using HD cable on one screen and second screen is using  mini displayport.

@mdaraj50 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to change the regulations for 2 nd monitor.

Have you tried to connect the monitor with a different cable or different port?

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
