Touchpad in keyboard works. Keyboard in touch mode works too.  I have the touchpad icon shown next to the touchscreen  icon on the tray.  depressing the touchpad icon shows the touchpad on the screen, but it doesn't do anything.  Depressing any button on the touchpad does nothing.

Also, when typing in touchscreen mode, the keyboard often disappears and I have to click the icon to get it back.  It happens A LOT!

And when in touchscreen mode when starting a post in Facebook, but not in Outlook or Word, hitting Shift then starting to type I get 2 capital letters before it reverts back to non-capital letters.  Do I have to always hit Shift a 2nd time to avoid 2 capital letters?

Any suggestions to fix these issues.

THanks for the suggestions.  Ran the checks you suggested, no problems, errors or driver updates.  But the touch pad seems to be working ok now.

Still not sure why the on screen keyboard keeps disappearing  while I'm typing a message, or that when starting typing, like in this message, the first 2 letters are capitalized. Oh well, I'll try to live with it.

Thank you for the update.

In that case, I would suggest you try creating a new user account on your computer.
