Microsoft Windows 11

Dear All,

Would you be able to help with this issue?

I am using Win 11 on my ENVY x360 Convertible. Once the screen goes black for any of the following reasons:

  • Closing the lid, even if action is set to 'Do nothing'
  • Auto screen off after X minutes
  • Windows to Sleep

then I am unable to recover and turn the screen back on. I tried the following:

  • move mouse
  • press any key, incl. ctrl+alt+del, power key
  • close and then open lid
  • touch the screen

The only way I found was to hard reset the computer by long-pressing the Power key. Once the LED goes dark then I can do a normal boot and everything is fine until the screen goes black for any of the reasons mentioned above.

Thank you very much in advance,

Attila

Hi,

I found a temporary fix: Win + Ctrl + Shift + B resets the graphics driver and the screen comes back up.

Nevertheless, it would be nice to find the root cause of this issue.

Thanks,

Attila
