I have dual external Dell monitors and only one is being detected. I am connecting them using a j5create multiport adapter and the monitor connecting through the VGA is being recognized, but the monitor that is connected through the HDMI port is not being detected. I just replaced my older HP Spectre x360 and both monitors worked fine with that machine, but I did not need the multiport adapter for that machine as it had a HDMI port that the new machine does not have.

I reviewed your post and I understand that one of the external monitors is not working.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
