I have a Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fb0xxx.

Very often the built-in webcam causes problems, suddenly disabling itself and completely stopping working.

Usually, I solve the issue by updating the camera drivers or uninstalling them and then restarting the computer so that they reinstall automatically. This time, however, I can’t fix it. I’ve been trying since Saturday.

All the camera permissions are enabled. I’ve tried updating the drivers and doing everything possible in Device Manager. I’ve restarted the PC, installed all software updates, and even checked the BIOS (but there’s nothing there because my PC model enables the camera automatically). I really don’t know what else to do.

When I open the Camera app, sometimes the white camera light turns on, but I still can’t see myself.

Please help me as soon as possible

Ugh, brо. Let me guess—the laptop is running Windows 11, right? -_-
Everything you’re describing points to a software problem.
I’d recommend downloading Linux Ubuntu or Mint.
Create a bootable USB, run the live edition (just try Linux, don’t install it), there’s a camera app, and if the camera works in Linux, that’s it—the problem is in Windows. Then you have two options: either roll back to Windows 10 or stay on Windows 11 and wait for “MICROSLOP” to fix the issue… someday… maybe…
Also, if you can get into the BIOS, HP Diagnostics can test the webcam, but I assume it’s just a software problem.
