I had two of these laptops, They both do the same thing. Until yesterday when i fixed one of them, and it was a bad ram slot. But the other is still doing the same.

Your slot was physically damaged? Did you try to move the memory that is working to the one that is not working and just try it?

To anyone that has this problem in the future... Reflow the chip in your oven. set temp to 425... preheat.... put board on tin foil to reduce heat on majority of board. bake for 10 minutes.... This really does work! P.S. Make sure you take your processor & bios battery out!

PLEASE HELP! I have the same error but it's kind of different. I have a 2009 HP G60-247CL. It has CMOS errors, and since today, my screen had a bit of light once the laptop started, but like around 5 seconds, the screen turns pitch black, and dimly. I restarted it a few times, and it did the same thing. I put the power button off, and it started with a bit of light but for a longer amount of time (Around 30 sec.) It had its battery plugged in, and is currently using Windows 8.1. I really need help with this issue,

Thanks, Vince.
