Hello everyone, yesterday I acquired my new HP Victus 15, released in March 2023, I think or 2024, in fact, it came without an OS and I installed Windows 11. At first it came without drivers and the screen, with maximum brightness, looked very dark. but after installing the drivers it adjusted, looking normal in terms of the amount of brightness, however I have a problem and that is that the range of colors white, green and others look too much light and I don't know how to adjust that, I think the dark colors are fine

Hi @ivaanblnc,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Congratulations on your new HP Victus 15! I understand how frustrating it can be to experience display issues on a brand-new laptop, especially after setting everything up. Let’s work together to adjust the colors so they look just right.

  • Did you download the display drivers directly from HP's website, or are you using drivers provided by Windows Update?
  • Have you checked the display settings in Windows or the GPU control panel (NVIDIA or AMD) for any unusual configurations?
  • Is this issue noticeable across all applications and content, or is it more pronounced in certain videos, images, or websites?

Let's try these steps.

Update Display Drivers:

  • Visit the HP support page for your specific model and download the latest display drivers.
  • If your laptop has an NVIDIA or AMD GPU, also check their official websites for the latest driver updates tailored to your GPU model.

Calibrate the Display Colors:

  • In Windows Settings, go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display Settings and look for the Display adapter properties.
  • Under the Color Management tab, click on Calibrate display to adjust the brightness, contrast, and gamma settings to your preference.

Adjust GPU Control Panel Settings:

  • If you have an NVIDIA or AMD GPU, open the respective control panel (e.g., NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Software).
  • Go to the Display Settings or Color Settings and tweak the brightness, contrast, gamma, and color levels. Reset to default if necessary and fine-tune from there.

Enable HDR (if applicable):

  • Some HP Victus models support HDR (High Dynamic Range), which can improve color accuracy.
  • Check under Settings > System > Display and enable HDR if your display supports it.

Reset Windows Display Settings:

  • If the problem persists, reset the display settings to default in Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display Settings and see if the colors adjust properly.

If none of these resolve the issue, it may be worth performing a factory reset of the drivers or contacting HP Phone Support, as there could be a hardware-related issue with the screen.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
