I have my HP Pavilion X360 13-u131TU convertible laptop working fine till last week. Now the laptop boots but screen remains blank.
I tried power reset, it did not worked. Then I tried to boot it from bootable USB disk, screen still remains blank. I tried to connect external monitor using HDMI and found that the PC is working fine. Tried the virtual Agent and other trouble shooting options such as restoring to a previous date, updating driver, updating bios but the problem still persists. The virtual agent suggested to delete my display adapter using device manager. After deleting, the external monitor also went blank. I used the power switch to shut down & restart the PC. Now the screen works fine but flickers every 2-3 secs. External monitor is not supported. So I updated the drivers through hp. Now I am back to square 1 - Laptop boots, external monitor works fine, laptop display is blank.
Please help me out.

Since the external monitor works fine, this is a Hardware issue with the LCD screen

@Krazy Toad
As suggested by you this might be a hardware issue, but i suspect a software or driver issue. So I again deleted the the display driver (4th time) using device manager and re-booted my PC. This time I turned off my net connection. Now the PC has loaded the drivers and the monitor is working properly with High resolution. The problem is solved (at least for the time being).
I am still unaware about the root cause of the problem that troubled me for last 2 weeks.
Anyway thanks for your support.
