Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

i have this new Laptop (4 Weeks now). A few days ago, I went into tablet mode, and the Laptop just shut down. It was an immediat shutdown just as if you would take out the battery on older laptops. Now this happens a few times a day, which is really annoying as I use this for University, and I lost some work because of it. It can happen even if the battery is completly full.

I have not tried resetting Windows, as I think it is not a Software problem, but a problem of the Power delivery and the way you can move the Screen 360 Degrees.

What can I do? Thanks for reading and have a nice day :).

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Does computer shutdown or display flickers while moving the computer or power cord is shaken?
  • Have you tried wiggling the Ac adapter and checked?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
