Pavilion 14-n047ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since I upgrade to windows 10, I have issue with my pointer (with touchpad and wired mouse). The pointer stop moving every 5 seconds for 1-2 sec then start again. Clincking is ok. Pilote is up to date and I run every update. When I start again my notebook and press F2, the pointer is working well.

The mouse is ok, I try several mouses, and I try them also on another notebook.

I run a diagnostic test and the failure ID is MCXP39-72M9B1-MFPWWK-G2ST03.

I can't find any solution is the HP support website, do you know what should I do?

Thanks in advance

Hey there! @RANQ, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand the touchpad cursor has stopped functioning on your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Have you tried checking with an external mouse?

Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing the failure ID. I have decoded the failure ID and its a touchpad failure on your PC. You have replace the faulty touchpad on your PC.

Mouse Failure (unspecified)

However, you can try the steps recommended below.

Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Power Options -> Change Plan Settings (of current selected plan) -> Change Advanced Power Settings -> USB Selective Suspend Setting -> Disable (both)

Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Power Options -> Change Plan Settings (of current selected plan) -> Change Advanced Power Settings -> PCI-Express -> Link State Power Management -> Disable (both)

Also, Try updating the BIOS, touchpad and chipset driver on your PC and check if it helps.
