All cameras need light to give quality images.
A normal camera has much more tools such as ISO, speed, aperture, flash .... to allow it to capture good images/videos. A normal webcam does not have those tools therefore a quick way to fix poor images for webcam is to give more light to objects.
Please give your object (for example your face) more light, you will get better images.
