Hi @DilyNadaan
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for explaining that—I understand that your HP Omen 15-ek0013dx powers on but the display stays dark and briefly shows “BIOS files not found,” it’s likely a corrupted BIOS or failed recovery attempt.
A message indicating that BIOS files are not found could point to corrupted BIOS software, which sometimes requires a reset or reflash to resolve.
While I cannot provide BIOS flashing software directly, I can offer guidance on possible steps to solve the issue:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove the power cord.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds with the battery removed.
- Reconnect the power cord and try booting the system.
Check for BIOS Recovery Options
- Power off the laptop.
- Turn on the laptop and immediately press F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup, if the display is responsive.
- Look for BIOS recovery options in the setup utility.
Attempt BIOS Flash via USB Recovery
- Download the latest BIOS version for your specific model from the HP Support website.
- Create a BIOS recovery USB flash drive using another computer.
- Connect the USB drive to your HP Omen and boot from it to flash the BIOS.
Seek Professional Support
- If the above steps do not work, contact HP Support or visit an authorized service center for professional assistance. It's recommended to work with a professional to ensure no further damage to the BIOS firmware or hardware.
Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- You may use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics USB to test for hardware failures that might affect BIOS integrity. This might require downloading and creating a USB diagnostic tool from the HP website.
Important Note
Performing a BIOS flash can be risky and may result in system instability if done improperly. It is always advisable to contact HP support or an authorized professional if you are unsure about performing these steps yourself.
