Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have owned this notebook for approximately two years. When I log in, this bar of vertical lines appears on the left, covering almost a third of the screen (attached image)💻

This sometimes disappears with the hours. Does anyone have an idea what might be damaged and need repair?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting, 

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

  • the last time it worked without this issues was about 4  month ago
  • After I read your answer I updated Graphics and chipset drivers
  • It works normally when I connect to an external monitor, on the external monitor
  • The problem persists on the BIOS screen
