Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand there's an issue with the screen colors,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you been able to adjust the color or have a color of your preference before?
Did you check if the issue persists on an alternate/external monitor?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
If you haven't, Please try an alternate monitor to understand if this is either a hardware or a software failure,
to check if you can adjust the color on the monitor and let me know if that makes a difference, if the monitor works fine according to your preference or you don't have an alternate monitor to check:
- Re-install the graphics card drivers & update it from the official HP Website: Click here
If the issue persists, try the below steps:
Open the display adapter properties or advanced display settings to view the modes, set the refresh rate, or manage the color and other advanced settings.
-
To open the advanced display settings or display adapter properties, select your operating system:
-
Windows 10: Search for and open Change display settings. You can also right-click the desktop and open Display settings. Scroll down to Related settings, then click Display adapter properties.
Figure : Opening the Display adapter properties
-
In Windows 7: Search for and open Adjust screen resolution, then click Advanced settings.
Figure : Opening the Advanced display settings
-
-
Click a tab to adjust the corresponding settings.
NOTE:
Your computer might have more tabs than those listed here. Many video card manufacturers provide settings designed for their video hardware. These extra settings vary by the type of video hardware used and are not discussed here.
Color Management: The Color Management tab provides settings to change the color output to the monitor. Typically, you would not use Color Management unless a special situation called for it, such as matching the colors on the monitor to the colors on a printer. Adjusting this setting changes the color output for everything displayed in Windows and should be done only if needed.
Click OK to save your changes and close the window.
Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,
That said, If I have helped you resolve the issue,

Thank u for your help.
I am not really an expert with this issues.
I followed your steps but dont really know what to do.
Here is what I find, but what should I do after?
lot of parameters, and I am afraid to change somthing and make a deasaster.
BY the same, I dont have another monitor to check.
And for the update I ve found 2 (see attached) and tried to download them, but the process always fails.
Can I download them from any other source?

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
Did you click on color management? (from the 1st screenshot)
If yes, where you able to go into the advanced tab from color management and select CALIBRATE DISPLAY?
If the issue persists, you could also click on "Reload current calibration".
The last thing you could do is, use change system defaults from the screen screen if none of the above works.
Let me know how that pans out
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon,
followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution' as it would help the community gain more knowledge,

How is the display quality in BIOS?
Please boot to BIOS and check display quality:
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key.
Also, update BIOS following steps from the link.
Keep me posted!
Have a great day 🙂

Hi @NaderBCB,
The display technology on two laptops could be different to render color brightness and other features. So a comparison of these two laptops may not give the correct picture as technology is completely different. This laptop seems to be working fine and if you still feel that justice is not done, then you could contact phone support for further assistance.
HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:
* Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
* Enter Product number or select to auto detect
* Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
* Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get a Case & phone number.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.
If the unit is under warranty repair services under the manufacturer's warranty will be free of charge.
