I invested in a HP ZBook Fury 16 G9 Mobile Workstation PC (609M3AV) with HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4. I have two Dell monitors connected to my docking station -- one via mDP and one via USB-C. There is a maddeningly constant disconnection/connection that occurs. My computer beeps while this is happening. My monitors are looking to connect during that but unsuccessful.
I did see that there seems to be a ton of people who have had the same or similar issues with this dock, but have not seen where HP has stepped in with a solution or even acknowledgment that this is an issue, or that they're working to provide a solution. I've tried the usual firmware updates, etc.
Can anyone shed some light on this? It would be appreciated.

Hi @bcal_tx

enable Hight Resolution mode
in the BIOS F10 setup as follows:
1. Enter HP Setup (F10)
2. Select Advanced, then System Options
3. Select Enable “High Resolution mode when connected to a USB-C® alt mode dock option”
4. Save settings by pressing the F10 key

Hi Resistencia,

Thank you for you assistance! I will give this a shot. Will adjusting to hi-res mode cause issues anywhere. I ask because I work from GDrive and OneDrive often with larger files.  I suspect it won't effect data transfer too much, and if it does can undo and seek other solutions. Your experience/insight is appreciated.

It does not affect it; it gives the port more bandwidth to transmit higher resolution images.
