Pavilion 15-cw1598sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP Pavilion 15-cw1598sa with USB C 3.1 x 2 port.

When I connect a mouse or keyboard via an adapter through the USB C port it works ok.

When I connect a DVI monitor to the HDMI port is works ok.

However,  the laptop does not appear to accept charge through the USB  C port and neither can I operate the monitor through that port.  Is the USB C port not designed to do these operations, but if so, how do I get it to work?

@Esordl

Its specs

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06410523

It has

     1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port. As you can see this port won't support charging your machine

Regards.

Thank you for your very quick response.

Is this also the reason I cannot use the USB C 3.1 x 2 port to operate the external monitor?
