We have been having difficulty when the Intel UHD graphics driver updates from version 4575 to 4887 when connecting them to our G5 docks. The display will only come up on either the laptop main screen, or a monitor connected to the docks, but not both. The ProBook BIOS and firmware on the G5 dock are current. In order to correct the problem, we have to roll the driver back to 4575, but it's been an issue as Windows likes to update the driver.
Interestingly enough, one of the fixes of version 4887 was supposed to correct this issue, and instead it seems to be causing it.
When you attempt to use both monitors, Windows throws this error: "The display settings could not be saved. Please try a different combination of display settings." Most sites point this error back to the driver, and sure enough, it seems to be specific to 4887.

Hi:
I use the Microsoft Hide Windows Updates utility to prevent unwanted automatic Windows driver updates from installing.
I have zipped up and attached the utility below.
Have the working graphics driver installed.
Run the utility.
It should find the offending Intel graphics driver update waiting to install.
Check the box to hide the update.
The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'
Restart the notebook and the driver update should no longer try and install unless you run the utility again and select the option to unhide the update.
This will not prevent future Intel graphics driver updates from installing which could be a good thing or bad thing.
If it's a bad thing, then you will know how to deal with it.
