Probook 450 G5 bought as new before 2019, has 1 VGA and 1 HDMI. Got 2 new monitors only take HDMI and DP. My option for 2nd external display is:

1) VGA -> HDMI

2) VGA -> DP

3) USB -> HDMI or DP

Does this Probook capable to output display via USB? if yes limitation on resolution? Monitor supports 2560 x 1440. Found this thread asking very similar question, but recommended products are unavailable and costly than option 1) & 2).

Running Windows 10 64-bit Pro.

Thank you very much!

From VGA (analog) to DP or HDMI or DVI (digila) you need a proper converter. Normal cable alone won't work. You can use a Displaylink Certified USB-A (I don't have information of its USB-C port) to HDMI adapter to connect to the second monitor, example
