When hooked to an external display, it works. It doesn’t go away. I figure it’s the screen, but surely something else is wrong? It’s purple, green & black. My warranty ended in December so I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth repair or should I just buy a new laptop? I know someone that will fix it for me so the issue would be parts price over anything. TIA!

I understand that this is a Hardware issue. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
