Hello Aditya442,

Thank you for posting your concern,

Troubleshooting the HP Wide Vision HD Camera

If your HP Wide Vision HD Camera is not working, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the Camera Connection:

    • Open "Device Manager" on your Windows PC.
    • Expand the "Cameras" section and check if the HP Wide Vision HD Camera is listed.
    • If it is not listed, your camera might not be connected or might be disabled in the device manager. Right-click on the camera and select "Enable" if applicable.
  2. Update the Camera Driver:

    • Select the camera in "Device Manager."
    • Right-click and choose "Update driver."
    • Follow prompts to either search automatically for updated driver software or browse your computer for drivers.
    • You can also visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads website to download the latest drivers for your specific product model.
  3. Verify Privacy Settings:

    • Go to "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Camera."
    • Ensure that camera access for the device is turned on and that apps are allowed to access your camera.
  4. Check Camera App Permissions:

    • Open your desired camera application.
    • Ensure that camera permissions are enabled for the application within the app settings or via Windows settings.
  5. Verify Firmware Update:

    • Check your camera firmware version using "Device Manager."
    • If the firmware version is outdated, you can update it using the latest SoftPaq available on the HP support website.
  6. Hardware Check:

    • If none of the software solutions work, the issue might be hardware-related. Consider contacting HP support or an authorized service provider for hardware diagnostics.

If you continue to experience issues, it might be helpful to consult the maintenance and service guide specific to your laptop model for any model-specific troubleshooting.
