I'm facing a similar issue on my HP Pavilion laptop here in the United States. My camera also stopped working and shows the same error code (0xA00F4244). If there's a specific driver or update available for this model, I'd appreciate any guidance as well.

Hi @jacobmiller1

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That error usually means Windows isn’t detecting the camera properly. Here are some steps to fix it:

Check Privacy Settings

  • Open Settings > Privacy & security > Camera
  • Ensure Camera access is turned on for apps.

Reset the Camera App

  • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
  • Search for Camera, click Advanced options, then select Reset.

Update or Reinstall the Camera Driver

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand Imaging devices or Cameras.
  • Right-click your camera and select Update driver > Search automatically.
  • If updating doesn’t work, uninstall the driver and restart your laptop.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Select Camera and run the troubleshooter.

If none of these work, you might need to install an updated driver from HP’s support page or check out this HP guide for more troubleshooting steps.

Let me know how it goes!
