While I am working on my PC, less than 2 minutes the PC screen goes to screen saver. I have tried everything. Updating my BIOS, Loc k Screen to NEVER and everything else. Settings and Control panel. Nothing works. Help! I use my PC for work and it is very frustrating and messing up my production and time management to constantly have to enter my password. I have even tried removing my passwords to no avail.

@Wandav03, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding screen time out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your PC is going to the lock screen or screensaver too quickly despite changing the settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check Power & Sleep Settings
- Right-click on the Start button and select Settings.
- Go to System > Power & battery (or Power & sleep).
- Under Screen and sleep, set:
- "On battery power, turn off my screen after" → Never (or a longer duration)
- "When plugged in, turn off my screen after" → Never (or a longer duration)
Check Advanced Power Options
- Press Win + R, type control panel, and press Enter.
- Click Power Options > Select your active power plan.
- Click Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings.
- Expand Display > Console lock display off timeout and set it to a higher value (e.g., 900 seconds).
Check Screen Saver Settings
- Press Win + R, type control desk.cpl,,@screensaver, and press Enter.
- Under Screen saver, set it to None and uncheck On resume, display logon screen.
- Click Apply and OK.
Disable Dynamic Lock (if enabled)
- Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Scroll down to Dynamic Lock and make sure it’s disabled.
Check Group Policy (if using Windows Pro/Enterprise)
- Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
- Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization.
- Double-click Do not display the lock screen and set it to Enabled.
If the issue persists after all these steps, let me know!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
