@Y4sy4s, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

When you experience stuttering or performance issues after upgrading to an SSD, even though your CPU, RAM, disk, and GPU are not heavily utilized, it can often be related to graphic driver issues, especially when you notice that disabling the AMD Radeon graphics resolves the problem. Here are some steps you can try to solve this issue:

Check AMD Radeon Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your AMD Radeon graphics card. Visit the AMD website and download the latest version of the driver specific to your graphics card model. Alternatively, you can use the HP Support Assistant to check for driver updates directly from HP, which might be optimized for your laptop model.

Reinstall Graphics Drivers:

  • Sometimes simply updating the drivers isn't enough. You may need to completely uninstall the existing AMD drivers and then reinstall the latest version. To do this, open the Device Manager, right-click on the AMD Radeon graphics under Display adapters, and select 'Uninstall.' Once uninstalled, restart your device and then install the new driver.

Update System Software:

  • Make sure that your system BIOS and any other pertinent chipset drivers are updated. This can influence the way your hardware components interact with one another. BIOS updates, in particular, can provide improved hardware compatibility or functionality.

Disable Fast Startup:

  • Fast Startup can sometimes cause issues with driver initialization. You can disable it from the Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable > uncheck "Turn on fast startup."

Check System Configuration:

  • Verify that your system configuration settings are optimal. Sometimes certain power settings or BIOS configurations can impact performance.

Monitor AMD Settings:

  • Check the settings in your AMD Control Panel. Make sure any performance settings are appropriately configured. Sometimes default settings or configurations optimized for gaming can cause issues in regular computing tasks.

Use Integrated Graphics Temporarily:

  • As a temporary solution, until the issue is resolved, use the integrated graphics for normal computing tasks when you don't need the high performance of the discrete GPU.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
