Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!
HP Recommended

Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing a screen burn issue on my HP laptop for the past month. The burn-in effect appears after an hour of usage but disappears after shutting down the laptop overnight. I've already updated all video drivers and installed the latest Windows updates, but the issue persists. I suspect this might be a hardware problem, as it occurs both times when I use the discrete or the integrated graphics card display.

For context, I had my laptop screen replaced by HP support ten months ago due to horizontal lines appearing on the display, which was also diagnosed as a hardware issue.

Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any suggestions on troubleshooting or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
