HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef0000 RCTO Base Model

Hello! Anytime I have a full-screen video play the screen seems to periodically jump/flicker. I've noticed it now during both apps (netflix, disney+, etc) and when watching online on chrome (youtube/hulu). I have checked and my graphics card is up to date, as is my laptop in general. I have tried adjusting the performance in graphics settings and prioritizing performance seemed to make the issue happen more often/worse. I have tried turning down the brightness, restarting my laptop, AND running a diagnostics test but there is no issue there as well. It only happens when a video is playing full screen and no other time.

What you call using apps is really Streaming -- and that is one of the most demanding tasks you can do on a laptop.

From your description, it sounds like it is overpowering the graphics chipset -- but a way to confirm that is to connect an external monitor to see if the flickering happens there, too.  If it does not, then your screen is going out.

thank you for the advice unfortunately I do not have access to an external monitor so I cannot test this out. I have noticed though that when I switched from watching on chrome to streaming via the respective apps the problem happened significantly less frequently but recently I feel like it has gotten worse
