Pavilion 15-cs3065st

I performed a fresh install of Windows 11 and dutifully ran Windows Update.  Afterwards, the screen flickered on the laptop.  There was no flickering when it was plugged into an external monitor via HDMI.  There was an Intel video driver, 26.20.100.7926 that Windows Update insisted on downloading.  After rebooting, the flickering issue was not solved.

I then went to the Intel website and downloaded their Driver and Support Assistant.  It ran and updated the video driver to 31.0.101.2115.  So far, that seems to have fixed the issue.  The problem is that once this was installed, Windows Update would run and install 26.20.100.7926 again, thus bringing back the flickering issue.

My solution was to download wushowhide.diagcab and hide that Intel update 26.20.100.7926 so it would not automatically update my laptop with that when Windows Update runs.  So far things seem to be working.
