Screen has been cracked on the right side and cause it the touchscreen not working properly on that side. I am wondering that does my warranty allow to repair it, if not how much it would be cost to repair it?.
Kind Regards,

Hi @MateuszCK,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP device screen has been cracked, resulting in touchscreen issues, it is important to understand your warranty coverage and repair options:
Warranty Coverage for Screen Damage:
- Accidental damage, such as dropping your laptop or cracking the screen, is often classified as Customer Induced Damage (CID) and is not typically covered under a standard HP warranty. This includes most cases of damaged or broken LCD screens due to accidents.
Options if Screen Damage is Not Covered:
- If your warranty does not cover the damage, and you did not purchase an Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) plan, you are generally responsible for repair costs.
- You have the option to contact HP for a fee-based service if your device is out of warranty.
- You can also use an external monitor or use your device as-is if the damage does not impede operation significantly.
Accidental Protection Plan:
- If you anticipate potential risks, an ADP plan needs to be purchased before the damage occurs. It covers repairs or replacements due to accidents.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
