Pavilion x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

the right bottom hinge on the screen is broken and has a star crack on upper right corner. Display no longer works. I'm using a 24 in monitor in the mean time. How much is a replacement screen and labor to repair?

Thank you.

Hi,

I do not really know how much it would cost if you take it to a service center. If you provide the exact model or product number we can take a look at how much the part would cost and the procedure to replace it. You could actually buy the part and then take to your local trusted technician and probably save a lot. Here is how to find the model number.

Model number

Let me know,

David

OK

The actual model number is 14m-cd0001dx

The whole display assembly comes as one part

part number L20553-001

It is not orderable in HP parts store so you can try an online search with part number

Example:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.XL20553-001.TRS...

not cheap.

On page 52 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the display assembly:

Hope it helps,

David

While I have this apart, is the RAM or CPU upgradeable on this model? My daughter uses it for gaming.
