Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was watching Twitch on my laptop like any other night, and all of a sudden nothing on the internet would load. I then shut down my laptop because I wanted it to reload everything so it could go fast again, but now instead, it's stuck on the backlight right when I turn it on. No menu, no startup screen, just the backlight, then it would turn off instantly with a short whistling noise if I were to click the power button again. I tried another recovery that i found for it by opening BIOS recovery, but it didn't display anything when I did it. All that did was erase the BIOS, and i know that because a screen appeared saying it was missing the BIOS. I would like help with this issue.

@Amadeo
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8.

BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
