Welcome to HP Forums,
I recommend you check if any buttons within the keyboard are physically stuck, if they are this could be a hardware malfunction and if they aren't stuck as such and yet the issue persists, it's merely a software issue and here's what you'll need to do:
Start with updating the video card, BIOS & Chipset driver update using the HP website: Click here to find and install the same.
Also, ensure the automatic brightness is turned off, using the below steps:
- Open the Windows start menu and click on ‘Settings’ (a cog icon)
- In the settings window, click on ‘System’
- The ‘Display’ menu should be selected on the left, if it is not – click on ‘Display’
- Turn the ‘Change brightness automatically when lighting changes’ to ‘Off’
- Click ‘Apply’ to save the changes.
If you feel I was helpful, simply click on Accept as Solution to help the community grow,
That said, I will have someone follow-up on this to ensure you've been helped,
Just in case you don't get back to us within 24 - 48 hrs, and have a good day, ahead.
