HP Pavilion - 15-cs3006tx

Whenever a new notification arrives on the screen in the lower right corner, my display momentarily shows inverted colors. It returns to normal in the next moment. I have tried all Accessibility and Magnifier and dark mode settings. Nothing seems to work. This issue started from the year 2022. the Laptop is all updated, even the BIOS.

Hi @Abtik,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the screen colors of your HP Pavilion 15 laptop are being inverted whenever a notification is displayed, it could be due to a setting or a software issue. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Update your graphics driver: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can sometimes cause display issues. Visit the HP support website or the website of the graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest driver for your laptop's graphics card.
  • Check the display settings: Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings" or "Screen resolution." Look for any settings related to color inversion or notification effects. Make sure these settings are disabled or set to their default values.
  • Disable third-party software: If you have recently installed any third-party software that may be affecting the display, try disabling or uninstalling it to see if the issue resolves. This could include any software that provides custom notification effects or modifies the display settings.
  • Reset display settings: Open the display settings as mentioned in step 2 and click on the "Advanced display settings" link. From there, you can try clicking on the "Restore" or "Reset" button to revert any custom display settings back to their defaults.
  • Run a malware scan: In some cases, malware or viruses can cause strange behavior on your computer, including display issues. Run a full system scan using your preferred antivirus software to check for any infections.
  • Perform a system restore: If the issue started recently and you haven't made any significant changes to your laptop's settings or installed new software, you can try restoring your system to a previous point in time when the issue was not present. This can be done using the built-in System Restore feature on Windows.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
