Hi there,

I have just received my new notebook and I was just wondering if it was normal that the screen seems rather streaky. especially when the screen is white? I have attached images taken on my phone (it looks worse on the phone than in person) but the screen just seems uneven, and is causing my eyes to be strained after an hour or so use.

Its a difficult issue to explain, it just seems like the screen is different brightness's across the whole screen / similar effect to the ATM screens at the bank (the privacy filter is off)Annotation 2020-04-14 121707.jpg. Im a little dissapointed as I have been looking forward to this for ages 😞

Thanks!

@SFM767,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the display on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

If you continue facing the issue, then boot to BIOS by tapping the F10 key on startup and check whether you are able to duplicate the issue in the BIOS screen.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
