Hi @JMasz88,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing screen flickering issues after reinstalling an operating system are commonly caused by problems with display drivers. Here are several steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the screen flickering on your HP Spectre X360 13 Convertible Laptop after reinstalling Windows 11:

1. Update Graphics Drivers:

Intel IRIS Xe Graphics Driver:

  1. Visit the Intel Driver & Support Assistant website.
  2. Download and install the tool, then use it to automatically detect and update the graphics driver.

HP Support Website:

  1. Go to the HP Customer Support -HP Spectre x360 - Software and Drivers
  2. Enter your laptop model (HP Spectre X360 13) and select your operating system (Windows 11).
  3. Download and install the latest graphics driver provided by HP.

2. Uninstall and Reinstall Display Drivers:

Uninstall Current Drivers:

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Display adapters section.
  3. Right-click on the Intel IRIS Xe adapter and select Uninstall device.
  4. Check the box for Delete the driver software for this device and click Uninstall.

Reinstall Drivers:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Install the latest drivers using the methods described above.

3. Check for Windows Updates:

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.

4. Adjust Display Settings:

Refresh Rate:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
  2. Scroll down and click on Advanced display settings.
  3. Ensure the refresh rate is set to the recommended setting.

Display Resolution:

  1. In the Display settings, ensure the resolution is set to the recommended value for your display.

5. BIOS Updates:

  1. Go to the HP Support website and check for any BIOS updates for your laptop model.
  2. Follow the instructions provided to update the BIOS/firmware.

6. Check for Conflicting Software:

Ensure there is no software conflict by booting into Safe Mode:

  1. Press Win + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter.
  2. In the System Configuration window, go to the Boot tab and check the Safe boot option.
  3. Select Minimal and click OK. Restart your computer.

If the flickering stops in Safe Mode, it indicates a software conflict. Identify and uninstall any recently installed software or updates that might be causing the issue.

7. Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  1. Restart your computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly until the UEFI menu opens.
  2. Select System Diagnostics and run the tests, particularly the Display Test.
