HP Pavilion x360 - 15-cr0002la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In a crash that completely damaged the screen, I had multiple hardware failures so I did a clean installation with an image of Windows 10 - 1909.

I am using a monitor through the HDMI port but when the video driver is updated from Windows update or through the HP support assistant, the screen starts to flicker and I have to revert the driver to get it back to normal.
Flickering does not occur in the BIOS setup.

Also the keyboard and the pad stop working when you load Windows and install the latest Drivers.

How can I especially solve this video flickering problem?

Thanks!

@wipar

I reviewed your post and I understand that the screen starts flickering when you install the graphics driver.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you download and install the graphic driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp102001-102500/sp102016.exe

In case if you have an AMD processor then download and install the driver from the below link.

AMD: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96001-96500/sp96392.exe

If you continue facing the issue, then update the BIOS from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105868.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you for the help you are giving me.
I installed the driver that you indicated but it does not work, the screen flashes intermittently (for a moment it is fine but when I change to another window it fails again).
I have changed the REFRESH RATE and it keeps flickering.

The "Windows start icon" is frozen...

Try reinstalling the Video Driver from Device Manager

- Select the Start  button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
- Look for Display Adapters and expand the List
- Look for Graphics driver then right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click the Graphics driver and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

I already followed these steps and only Windows update the driver or do the installation manually, the video on the monitor starts flashing.
Will it affect that I completely removed the damaged screen along with the Flex?

With the Microsoft default video driver, the screen doesn't flicker...

Thanks for your help.
