You're welcome.

1. Please provide exact model name, product number. Removable battery will have a locking/unlocking mechanism on back of laptop.

2. It does nothing to Windows OS or files stored in HDD. Just empties residual charge residing in the capacitors.

Ah, refurbished one? Obviously it's a hardware/connection issue of display. Send it back is my suggestion.

Hi,

"flickers only on the native display, not an external monitor"

This means the problem lies with the laptop display hardware or its connections.

Please do a hard reset: https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c01684768

If no joy, contact HP authorised service centre if you're within warranty to identify the hardware issue and rectify.

.  Appreciate the reply! Will try the reset.

Two Qs if I may:

  1. How do I know if the Spectre 360 15" has a removable battery or not? Instructions to reset are listed as slightly different. Though it really just sounds like you hold the power button or 15 sec in both methods, right?
  2. Sounds as if the reset does absolutely nothing to the Windows OS install, just clears the memory and capacitors.  Is that what you know it to do?

I've only owned it for 60 days and being that it's a factory refurb under a 90 day warranty I'll need to get it sorted soon. Sure is sounding like it will need to be sent in from wat you sent.:smileymad:

Thanks again for your help!
