HP Notebook - 15-af152nr (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this computer for many years which had base Windows 10 on it out-of-the-box nearly that whole time. I eventually gutted the OS to mess with some Linux stuff, and then gave it to someone since their computer had very low specs and I wanted them to have something a bit nicer. Windows 10 was reinstalled and everything was fine except for the fact video games did not run well at all (and by that I mean they constantly froze and barely booted even if they were extremely lightweight. These games all ran well on a system with half the ram and much worse processors). I tried rolling back the processer drivers (from the Device Manager) which fixed the issue, but then the screen started freezing every 6 seconds; updating the screen's drivers fixed this, but then made games absolutely unplayable again. The 6-second freeze is also completely visible in multiplayer games, where their character, if moving, stays in place for the second or two their laptop freezes. That friend and I have tried searching for drivers online and gone through pretty much every resource we could find and it's still like this, so I decided the forums might be helpful. I never had these issues on any OS I have had on this system; it was perfectly fine running Windows 10 until this reinstall a few weeks ago.

I assume it would be helpful to give a checklist of things we have done so I will do that here.
-Windows system updates

-Device Manager updates and/or roll-backs

-Downloaded and installed drivers and updates from HP support (I believe, might have to try it again as they did this on their own when I was away)

-Ran HP Support Assistant and HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows

-Looked around online and through HP support forums for anyone with a similar or the same issue

The Notebook's specs are here, if anybody needs but feel free to ask for any additional info.
Any help at all is appreciated! Thanks and have a nice day.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing issues with your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

May I know which Operating System are you using currently?

Also, could you tell me if it only happens while playing games?

I would suggest you boot your system into the safe mode and let me know the functionality: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00806682

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
