Hi @Aldoc

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the display issue.

Please try these steps to re-install the operating system -

1. Shutdown the computer.

2. Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3. Press F11 once for System Recovery.

4. Choose the Keyboard Layout.

5. Click on Troubleshoot.

6. Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Recovery.

Note : System Recovery will delete everything that you had saved or installed on the computer.

Once the PC is recovered, try updating the computer using these steps -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks @Asmita6658 for the help. I followed the steps as outlined. The recovery process completes successfully but when the PC restarts, I get a blue screen with the error message "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart...."

After restart, the problem resurfaces after it bypass the boot screen... Still blank.

Appreciate you trying the steps. Please try testing the hardware using these steps -

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test.

Let me know.

Hi,

These are the options  I had on the Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu. However I run the test for them and they all passed.
