I was working on a wordpress site and installed a new plugin. after closing the web browser the webpage was burnt onto the screen as a ghost image. Rebooting did not help. Later it turned from a ghost image to vertical lines and finally to a fog or haze all across the screen. it is difficult to see on a light background but it is always there. The haze is uneven and blotchy. The edges and a corner are less affected. I reloaded all chipset, bios, firmware and graphics drivers..no effect. The problem is still visible in the bios screen. Supposedly that tells us that it is not a software problem and that the hardware needs to be inspected/replaced. Seems odd that the issue is evolving and sometimes reacting to the movement of the cursor. If it were a hardware issue would it not be a static, unchanging blemish on the screen? If it is a hardware problem then what sort of problem would cause this? Can I inspect the connections? What else? I have uploaded some pics to show my screen haze.
