Hi @AlokKhalook,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how inconvenient it can be when your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible's auto-rotation feature stops working after upgrading to Windows 11. Let's work together to resolve this issue.
- Have you noticed if the auto-rotation feature was working correctly before the Windows 11 upgrade, or has it been an ongoing issue?
- Do you see any notifications or error messages related to the rotation lock in the action center when you try to rotate the screen?
- Have you checked whether the orientation lock feature is enabled or disabled in your settings?
Try the following:
Check Rotation Lock Settings:
- Swipe from the right edge of the screen (or click on the notification icon in the taskbar) to open the Action Center.
- Look for the Rotation Lock icon. If it’s enabled (highlighted), click it to disable rotation lock and see if auto-rotation resumes.
Update or Reinstall Sensor Drivers:
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting it.
- Expand the Sensors category and locate the HID Sensor Collection or any similar sensor device.
- Right-click on it and choose Update driver. If an update doesn’t resolve the issue, try uninstalling the device and restarting your laptop, which will reinstall the driver automatically.
Check Tablet Mode Settings:
- Go to Settings (press Windows key + I) and select System > Tablet.
- Ensure that Tablet mode is set to your preference. Sometimes, changes in tablet mode settings can affect screen rotation.
Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter:
- Open Settings, go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to check for any issues with the sensors and hardware components that could affect auto-rotation.
Reset or Calibrate the Sensor:
- If the issue persists, you can try to reset or calibrate the screen rotation sensor.
- Search for Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input in the Start menu, then follow the prompts to recalibrate the sensors.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to check for any further Windows updates.
