Hi @Mayrin,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP 18-5110 All-in-One Desktop PC is experiencing a hardware or firmware issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to diagnose and potentially fix the problem:
1. Check the Power Supply
Ensure that your PC is receiving adequate power:
- Verify that the power cable is securely plugged into both the PC and the power outlet.
- Try a different power outlet or power cable if possible.
- If you have access to a multimeter, check the power supply voltage.
2. Perform a Hard Reset
Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve startup issues:
- Disconnect the power cable from the PC.
- Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the power cable and try turning on the PC again.
3. Check for POST (Power-On Self-Test) Beeps
Listen for any beeps when you turn on the PC. Beep codes can give clues about hardware issues. Refer to the user manual for what different beep codes mean.
4. External Monitor Test
Connect an external monitor to the PC to check if the issue is with the internal display:
- If the external monitor works, the problem might be with the built-in display or its connections.
- If the external monitor also does not display anything, the issue might be deeper in the system.
5. Reseat Internal Components
Loose components can cause startup issues:
- Unplug the PC and open the back panel (refer to the manual for instructions).
- Ensure that the RAM, hard drive, and any other components are securely connected.
- Reseat the RAM by removing it and then reinserting it.
6. BIOS/UEFI Reset
Resetting the BIOS/UEFI to default settings can sometimes resolve boot issues:
- Turn off the PC and disconnect the power cable.
- Look for a CMOS battery on the motherboard. It looks like a coin-cell battery.
- Remove the CMOS battery for about 5-10 minutes, then reinsert it.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn on the PC.
7. Check the Power Button Blinking Pattern
A blinking power button often indicates an error code. Refer to the HP support website or your user manual to decode the blinking pattern.
8. Keyboard and Mouse Issues
If the keyboard and mouse are not working:
- Try different USB ports on the PC.
- Use a wired keyboard and mouse if you are currently using wireless ones.
9. HP Diagnostics
HP computers often come with built-in diagnostic tools:
- Turn off the PC.
- Turn it on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly, about once every second, until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F2 to open the System Diagnostics and run the available tests.
Refer to this document: HP 18-5110 All-in-One Desktop PC User manual

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
